Yesterday I finally caught my first Cubera Snapper and even though this is a small one, with a length of 2'8" and weight of 18lbs, I am still super stoked. It is rare to even get close to one of these guys. Chris was convinced that it was a Grey Snapper and too bad that it wasn't because it would have set a spearfishing record. After talking to Roberto and taking a real good look at the fish we came to the conclusion that it was a Cubera. Now we just need to find a way to catch one of the big ones. The spearfishing record for Cubera is 67lbs so now we know what to aim for.
Welcome!
I've been watching surf videos over and over again, just wishing for some miracle for nice looking waves... some might think I'm crazy, if they knew that I surfed 4 days of head high- beautiful waves this past week. My dad calls it: "THE BUG"... and if anything like a Surf Rehab existed I would be in the white- padded room just by now.
Because of all that, and also due to the "flatness", or the "está planchao como un plato" of the beach in the past two days... I came up with this Surf Bug Blog. Whatever kind of bug you have, either painting, cooking, fishing, travelling, or just reading dictionaries, feel free to post of whatever comes to mind. See you all! Karla
